We decided to head directly to the West and concentrate on nature, avoiding the big cities. The topography consists of about 7 peninsulas bursting into the Atlantic Ocean. On our way we stopped at the Rock of Cashel (in the Tipperary plain) - all turrets and towers – the fortifications of which are rooted in the 4th century AD.

We continued to Killarney on the Southwest which is the starting point for the Ring of Kerry.
